Ivana Franke, Tommi Grönlund and Petteri Nisunen: Instalations in public space
30.5.2019. in 19h
On Thursday, May 30, at 7 pm, the artists Ivana Franko (HR), Tommi Grönlund (FIN) and Petteri Nisunen (FIN) will present the artistic proposals of the interventions in public space that will be performed in Rijeka this autumn, as part of the Public space intervention program and as part of Rijeka 2020 – European Capital of Culture pre-programme.
Ivana Franke, Tommi Grönlund and Petteri Nisunen share a research approach that unites the artistic methodology with natural sciences and architecture. Bridging the elements of graphics, sculptures, architecture, movements and sounds with mathematics, optics, physics and neuroscience, their work stimulates the visual sensations that cross our sensory dome.
The presentation is part of the FUTURE ARCHITECTURE: PUBLISHING ACTS III (28-30 May), a program organized by the Society of Architects of Istria (DAI SAI) in cooperation with DeltaLab (University of Rijeka) and program line Sweet and salt (Rijeka 2020 – European Capital culture), and is the third issue of publishing research as an urban practice.
